A Hyderabad service desk simulates arrivals and service times. Inter-arrival time (minutes): 2 (0.4), 4 (0.6). Service time: 3 (0.5), 5 (0.5). Random numbers 00-99; arrival bands: 2 min = 00-39, 4 min = 40-99; service bands: 3 min = 00-49, 5 min = 50-99. The clock starts at 0 with the first customer arriving at time 0 and served at once. Next two arrival random numbers are 20 and 70, and service random numbers for the three customers are 60, 30, 10. Single server, first-come first-served. What is customer 3's waiting time in queue?

Customer 3 waits 2 minutes. Customer 1 is served from 0 to 5, customer 2 arrives at 2 and is served from 5 to 8, and customer 3 arrives at 6 but starts only at 8.

Explanation

Customer 1 arrives at 0, service 5 (RN 60), ends at 5. Customer 2 arrives at 2 (RN 20), starts at 5, service 3 (RN 30), ends at 8. Customer 3 arrives at 2+4=6 (RN 70), starts at 8, so waits 2 minutes. Recheck: wait = 8-6 = 2.

One question tells you little. A timed set on Simulation shows your real accuracy, how long you take and where you lose marks.
