CSEET exam pattern
CSEET has 4 papers of 100 marks each (400 total). Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting and Economic and Business Environment are written (subjective). Business Laws and Management is objective (MCQ). There is no negative marking. At least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of all papers, in one sitting. There is no exemption or carry forward of marks. The exam is held in February, June and October.

How many papers are there in CSEET?
Four papers of 100 marks each (400 in total) on the restructured pattern applicable from the June 2026 session: Paper 1 Business Communication, Paper 2 Fundamentals of Accounting, Paper 3 Economic and Business Environment, and Paper 4 Business Laws and Management.
What is the CSEET exam pattern?
All four papers are held at exam centres. Papers 1, 2 and 3 are subjective (written) papers of 3 hours each; Paper 4 is an OMR-based paper of 2 hours with 100 compulsory four-option multiple choice questions of one mark each: Questions 1 to 60 in Part A Business Laws and 61 to 100 in Part B Business Management. Papers 1 and 2 have a compulsory Question 1 and any five of Questions 2 to 8; Paper 3 has, in each part, one compulsory question and any two of the other three. Every paper has 15 minutes of extra reading time.
Is there negative marking in CSEET?
No. There is no negative marking in the Paper 4 OMR paper.
What are the passing marks for CSEET?
You need at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of all papers, in one sitting. There is no exemption or carry forward of marks.
When is CSEET held?
Three times a year, in the first week of February, June and October.
Who is eligible for CSEET?
A candidate who has passed or is appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent. Only Indian nationals can apply.
Is CSEET compulsory for CS Executive?
Passing the CSEET is required for registration to the CS Executive Programme unless the candidate falls in a category ICSI exempts, such as graduates, postgraduates, and ICAI or ICMAI final pass candidates.
