ACCA Strategic Professional exam pattern

ACCA Strategic Professional has 4 papers of 100 marks each (400 total). Strategic Business Leader, Strategic Business Reporting (International), Advanced Financial Management, Advanced Performance Management, Advanced Taxation (UK) and Advanced Audit and Assurance (International) are written (subjective). There is no negative marking. Candidates sit the two Essentials exams, SBL and SBR, plus two of the four Options (AFM, APM, ATX and AAA); each exam is taken and passed individually. The pass mark for each exam is 50%. Every exam is written (constructed response, no objective test questions), lasts 3 hours 15 minutes and is out of 100 marks, with all questions compulsory. The exam is held in March, June, September and December.

What is the ACCA Strategic Professional exam format?

All exams are out of 100 marks, all questions are compulsory, and each exam lasts 3 hours 15 minutes. There are no objective test questions; every exam is written (constructed response).

What is the ACCA SBL exam pattern?

SBL is a closed-book integrated case study with three tasks: 80 technical marks and 20 professional skills marks. Pre-seen information is released two weeks before the exam, and the 3 hours 15 minutes includes reading, planning and reflection time.

What is the ACCA SBR exam pattern?

Section A has a 30-mark group accounting question (which includes using a spreadsheet to adjust consolidated financial statements) and a 20-mark reporting and ethics question. Section B has two 25-mark questions. There are four professional skills marks, two in Question 2 and two in Question 4.

What is the pattern of the ACCA AFM, APM, ATX and AAA exams?

Section A is a 50-mark case study and Section B has two compulsory 25-mark questions. Each exam has 80 technical marks and 20 professional skills marks. In AFM, APM and AAA, Section A is 40 technical plus 10 professional skills marks and each Section B question is 20 technical plus 5 professional skills marks. ATX Section A is 35 technical, 5 ethics and 10 professional skills marks.
