Anita executed a sale deed on 1 March in favour of Bharat. Both parties want to present it for registration. Under the Registration Act, 1908, within what period from the date of execution must a document ordinarily be presented for registration, and what is the possible extension?

A document must ordinarily be presented for registration within four months of execution. If delayed by urgent necessity or unavoidable accident, the Registrar can allow a further four months on payment of a fine not exceeding ten times the proper registration fee.
