As per the official text, what does section 1 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 now provide?
Section 1 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 gives the short title, stating that the Act may be called the General Clauses Act, 1897. Its sub-section (2) has been repealed. Commencement and Ordinances are covered in sections 5 and 30.
