Surplus = 2,00,000 + 3,50,000 - 1,00,000 = 4,50,000. Reserves and Surplus = 1,50,000 + 1,00,000 + 4,50,000 = 7,00,000. Rs 8,00,000 results from ignoring the dividend paid. Share capital is not part of Reserves and Surplus.
