In a certain code language, each letter of a word is replaced by the letter that is the mirror image of it in the alphabet (A becomes Z, B becomes Y, and so on). How will the word CAT be written in this code?

CAT is coded as XZG. Each letter is replaced by its mirror partner in the alphabet, found as 27 minus its position: C becomes X, A becomes Z and T becomes G. Hence the coded word is XZG.

  1. AXZGCorrect
  2. BXZH
  3. CXYG
  4. DDZU

Explanation

Mirror position of a letter = 27 minus its position. C(3) gives 24 = X, A(1) gives 26 = Z, T(20) gives 7 = G. So CAT becomes XZG. XZH is wrong because it mistakes the mirror of T for H (8) by using 28 instead of 27.
