Narmada Infra Ltd holds its AGM. Ms. Iyer, chairperson of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee, cannot attend due to illness. Under section 178, who may attend in her place?

Another member of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee, authorised by Ms. Iyer, may attend. Section 178(7) requires the committee chairperson or, in his absence, any other committee member authorised by him in this behalf to attend general meetings, and no other substitute is provided.

Explanation
