Sunrise Patent Services Pvt. Ltd., a company, advertises itself as 'patent agents' and offers to prepare specifications for inventors. Its directors are all individually registered patent agents. Under the Patents Act, 1970, the advertisement is:

A company or other body corporate cannot practise, describe itself or hold itself out as patent agents, even if its directors are registered individually. Only registered individuals, or partnerships where every partner is registered, may do so.
