Under Chapter VA of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948, "user charges" means the amount to be charged from other beneficiaries for medical facilities, which is notified by:

User charges are the amount charged from other beneficiaries for medical facilities, and they are notified by the Corporation in consultation with the Central Government from time to time. Neither the employer nor a State Government fixes them under the definition.
