Under the Designs Act, 2000, who or what prescribes the fees payable for registration of designs and applications for them?
Fees for registration of designs and related applications are those prescribed by rules. The Central Government makes such rules by notification in the Official Gazette, including the fee under section 24(1), so neither the Controller, examiners nor the High Court fixes them.
