CFA Level II Registration

Registration is online through your CFA Institute account in two steps: register and pay for an exam window, then book a test centre appointment before the scheduling deadline.

Steps to register

1Create or sign in to your CFA Institute account. First-time candidates enroll in the CFA Program and register for Level I together.
2Complete the Professional Conduct Inquiry and pay the registration fee for your chosen window (early or standard pricing depending on when you register).
3Once payment is processed, choose "schedule your exam" in your CFA Program tile to open the Prometric scheduling tool and pick a test centre, date and time.
4Book before the scheduling deadline, typically about 60 days before the exam window starts. You are only scheduled once you have a confirmed date and time.
5Registration windows open at 9:00 AM ET and deadlines close at 11:59 PM ET.

Validity: Each registration covers one exam window. If you miss your appointment the fee is lost, and from the February 2027 exams paid deferrals are no longer offered. Rescheduling within the same window costs USD 250.
