What stood out
- Microeconomics (nature and scope, demand, production and cost, markets) took 40 marks and macroeconomics plus the Indian Economy took 60, so macro chapters deserve the larger share of revision.
- Price Determination in Different Markets and Determination of National Income were joint leaders at 15 marks each; market structures were tested mostly through concepts, national income mostly through short calculations.
- Roughly a fifth of the paper was numerical (elasticity, cost schedules, revenue, national income aggregates, multipliers, fiscal deficit, exchange rates), so formula practice pays off even in a largely theory paper.
- Public Finance, Money Market, International Trade and Indian Economy each carried exactly 10 marks; the Indian Economy questions leaned on government schemes, reform history and sector facts that reward memorising the study material.
- Business Cycles was the lightest macro chapter at 5 marks, mostly on phases and economic indicators.
