What stood out

  • GST carried nine of the fourteen written parts and customs and foreign trade policy five, broadly matching the syllabus weight.
  • Situation-based questions were common: e-way bill scenarios, appeal pre-deposits, composite-supply classification and a warehousing duty-rate dispute.
  • Valuation was tested on both sides, with money changer valuation under GST and assessable value with exchange rate rules under customs.
  • Customs MCQs and a written part both covered drawback on re-export of used goods, making this a reliable scoring topic.
  • GST audit and annual return appeared as theory, so compliance procedure chapters should not be skipped.
