What stood out

  • GST supplied ten of fourteen written parts, spanning supply concepts, returns, liability computation, place of supply, valuation, ITC, TDS and advance rulings.
  • Input tax credit appeared twice in Section B (common credit reversal and capital goods sent for job work), making it the most tested GST chapter.
  • Customs was tested through baggage rules and an assessable value computation with design charges and exchange rate selection.
  • Foreign trade policy and SEZ benefits formed a pure theory question, a predictable choice for candidates who prepare these short chapters.
  • About half of Section B was numerical, and two parts were applied situations (place of supply, baggage detention).
