Chapter-wise marks
Where the marks were in this paper (out of 100; internal-choice alternatives not double counted).
What stood out
- The paper keeps a fixed split: 20 mathematics questions (40 marks) and 30 statistics questions (60 marks), so statistics carries more weight.
- Measures of central tendency and dispersion was the largest chapter with 8 questions, mixing direct computation with property-based concept checks.
- Correlation and regression and probability had 7 questions each; regression items needed quick use of the regression-coefficient and mean relationships.
- Ratio and proportion led the mathematics section with 5 questions, while calculus appeared only twice, once as a cost-minimisation application.
- Nearly every question required a calculation, so practising short-cut methods is more useful than theory for this one-hour paper.
