What stood out
- Part II on intellectual property carried 40 marks, with Law relating to Patents (7 entries) and Law relating to Trade Marks (6 entries) the most tested chapters.
- Both case studies were split into many small parts: the consumer protection case in Q1 (15 marks) and twin patent and trade mark cases in Q5 (20 marks).
- Recent changes were tested, including the 2021 consumer jurisdiction rules and the 2024 foreign exchange compounding rules.
- Part I spread across FEMA, FCRA, RERA, foreign trade, ODI, SEZ, competition, legal metrology and FDI, rewarding breadth over depth.
- Section-specific questions (for example on designs, colour marks and GI application) reward precise knowledge of individual provisions.
