After the accounts of a company in liquidation have been audited, how must the two copies of the audited account be dealt with by the Company Liquidator?

One copy of the audited accounts is filed by the Company Liquidator with the Tribunal and the other is delivered to the Registrar, where it is open to inspection by any creditor, contributory or other person interested.

  1. ABoth copies are filed with the Tribunal
  2. BOne copy is filed with the Tribunal and the other is delivered to the Registrar, where it is open to inspection by any creditor, contributory or interested personCorrect
  3. COne copy is sent to the Central Government and the other kept by the liquidator
  4. DOne copy is delivered to the Registrar and the other is sent to the auditor of the company

Explanation

Section 294(4) provides that one copy is filed with the Tribunal and the other is delivered to the Registrar, open to inspection by any creditor, contributory or person interested. Sending both to the Tribunal is wrong, and the Central Government receives a copy only in the Government company case.
