For a company whose financial year commenced on 1 April 2026, the auditor's report on its standalone financial statements under section 143 must, as regards CARO 2020:
The standalone report must contain the matters specified in paragraphs 3 and 4 of CARO 2020, as applicable, because the year commenced after 1 April 2019. Clause (xxi) alone is relevant only for consolidated statements.

Explanation
Paragraph 2 requires every report to which the Order applies, for years commencing on or after 1 April 2019, to contain the matters in paragraphs 3 and 4 as applicable. A 2026 year is after that date, so it is covered. Clause (xxi) alone applies only to consolidated statements.
