In the context of Indian law, what is meant by delegated (subordinate) legislation?
Delegated legislation means rules, regulations, bye-laws and orders made by an executive authority or body under power conferred by a parent Act of the legislature. It is subordinate to the Act, unlike primary legislation passed by Parliament or State legislatures.
