Meera is facing south-east. She turns 90° anticlockwise. In which direction is she facing now?

Meera faces north-east. Turning anticlockwise moves the direction from south-east to east after 45° and then to north-east after 90°. South-west would be the result of a clockwise turn, so it is not correct.

  1. ANorth-eastCorrect
  2. BSouth-west
  3. CNorth-west
  4. DEast

Explanation

Anticlockwise turns move in the order south-east, east, north-east. A 90° anticlockwise turn from south-east therefore gives north-east. South-west would result from a 90° clockwise turn, which is the wrong-direction mistake.
