Rohit faces east. He turns 90° clockwise, then 135° clockwise, then 45° anticlockwise. Which direction is he facing now?

Rohit faces west. His net turn is 90 plus 135 minus 45, which equals 180 degrees clockwise. Turning half a circle from east leaves him facing the opposite direction, west.

Explanation

Clockwise is a positive turn. East to 90° clockwise gives south. Another 135° clockwise gives north-west (south to west is 90°, then 45° more to north-west). Then 45° anticlockwise from north-west gives west... check carefully: net turn = 90+135-45 = 180° clockwise from east, which is west. Hence the facing direction is west, not south-west.
