Sahyadri Traders, a regular taxpayer in Pune with aggregate turnover above Rs 5 crore, has opted for the monthly payment scheme and is not under QRMP. For the month of August, by which date must it ordinarily furnish GSTR-1 (details of outward supplies)?
GSTR-1 for a monthly filer is due by the 11th of the next month, so for August the due date is 11th September. The 20th relates to GSTR-3B, and 13th relates to the quarterly scheme's IFF, so they are incorrect.
- A10th of September
- B11th of SeptemberCorrect
- C20th of September
- D13th of September
Explanation
A regular monthly taxpayer not under QRMP must furnish GSTR-1 (outward supplies) by the 11th of the following month. The 10th is the old GSTR-2A style date and not applicable, the 20th is the due date for GSTR-3B, and the 13th applies to the IFF/quarterly scheme.
