Ten persons sit in two rows of five, with each person facing the one directly opposite. Row 1 has A, B, C, D and E, all facing south. Row 2 has P, Q, R, S and T, all facing north. In Row 1, E sits in the middle, B sits immediately west of E, A sits immediately east of E, and C sits at the east end. In Row 2, Q faces B, T faces E, and R sits immediately east of T. S sits at one of the ends but does not face C. Who sits to the immediate left of the person who faces the person sitting to the immediate right of E?

S is the answer. Row 1 from west to east is D, B, E, A, C, and Row 2 from west to east is S, Q, T, R, P. E faces south, so E's right is B. Q faces B, and the person to Q's left, facing north, is S.

Explanation

Row 1 from west to east is D, B, E, A, C. Row 2 has Q second, T third and R fourth. S takes an end but must not face C, who is at the east end, so S is first and P is fifth. Row 2 from west to east is S, Q, T, R, P. E faces south, so E's right is west, which is B. B is faced by Q. Q faces north, so Q's left is west, which is S. Reading E's right as east would give A, then R, then T, which is wrong.
