All offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 are investigated, inquired into and tried according to the procedure contained in the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The BNSS is the general procedural code for substantive offences defined in the BNS.
