CMA Final · Corporate Financial Reporting · Share based Payment (Ind AS 102)
Under the Ind AS 102 amendments on classification and measurement of share-based payment transactions (paragraph 63D), from which annual periods must an entity apply those amendments?
The amendments apply to annual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2017, as paragraph 63D states. The 1 April 2021 date belongs to the separate Conceptual Framework footnote amendment in paragraph 63E, so it is not the answer.
- AAnnual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2021
- BAnnual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2015
- CAnnual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2017Correct
- DAnnual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2019
Explanation
Paragraph 63D states that an entity shall apply those amendments for annual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2017. The 1 April 2021 date relates to the Conceptual Framework reference amendment in paragraph 63E, which is a different amendment and is a common confusion.
