Ten persons sit at equal distances around a circular table, all facing the centre. Pooja sits third to the left of Qadir, and Rohan sits directly opposite Pooja. Where does Rohan sit with respect to Qadir?

Rohan sits second to the right of Qadir. Pooja is three seats clockwise (left) from Qadir, and Rohan is five seats further, at eight seats clockwise. That equals two seats anticlockwise, which is Qadir's right side.

  1. ASecond to the right of QadirCorrect
  2. BSecond to the left of Qadir
  3. CThird to the right of Qadir
  4. DFourth to the left of Qadir

Explanation

Facing the centre, left is clockwise. Put Qadir at position 0 and Pooja 3 seats clockwise at position 3. Rohan is opposite, 5 seats further, at position 8 clockwise. That equals 10 - 8 = 2 seats anticlockwise, which is second to the right of Qadir. Second to the left would come from reversing the direction.
