- AFailure of constitutional machinery in a State
- BThreat to the security of India by war, external aggression or armed rebellionCorrect
- CThreat to the financial stability or credit of India
- DBreakdown of law and order in a single district
Explanation
Article 352 permits a National Emergency when the security of India or any part of it is threatened by war, external aggression or armed rebellion. Failure of constitutional machinery in a State relates to Article 356, and financial threat relates to Article 360. A district-level law and order breakdown is not a ground for any emergency.
