Who has the power to appoint the date on which the Code on Wages, 2019 comes into force, and how may the dates be fixed?
The Central Government brings the Code into force by notification in the Official Gazette, and it may appoint different dates for different provisions. A reference to commencement of the Code in any provision then means the coming into force of that provision.
