What stood out
- Share capital and debentures led the MCQ part with four questions, covering differential voting rights, transfer, transmission and debenture trustees.
- Other laws carried real weight: FEMA, LLP, General Clauses Act and Interpretation of Statutes together accounted for 30 of the 84 descriptive marks on offer.
- Interpretation of Statutes appeared three times in the descriptive part, all as short application problems on clauses and maxims.
- Almost every descriptive question was a case scenario asking for advice, so section-level application mattered more than recall.
- Registration of charges and accounts of companies each featured at least twice in the descriptive part, including an OR alternative.
