What stood out

  • Part I (GST) carried 60 marks and Part II (corporate tax planning) 40 marks, with alternatives for Q4 and Q6.
  • Supply under GST was the most tested chapter (7 entries), spanning reverse charge, place of supply, e-commerce operators, composition and exemptions.
  • The paper was strongly application-based: 22 of 26 entries are practical or case parts, with only 4 theory parts.
  • Recent GST clarifications were tested: warranty replacements, personal and corporate guarantees, rule 88D ITC differences and physical verification under rule 25.
  • Tax planning questions spread across incentives (80LA, 10AA, 35ABB), presumptive taxation, AMT, buyback tax and financing choices rather than one dominant chapter.
