In project crashing under the time-cost trade-off method, which activities should be considered first for shortening the project duration?
Crashing should start with critical activities that have the lowest crash cost per unit time. Only critical activities control project duration, and choosing the cheapest per-period reduction keeps the additional cost of shortening the project as small as possible.
- ACritical activities with the lowest crash cost per unit timeCorrect
- BNon-critical activities with the lowest normal cost
- CCritical activities with the highest crash cost per unit time
- DAny activity with the longest normal duration
Explanation
Project duration can be reduced only by shortening activities on the critical path. Among them, the one with the lowest crash cost per unit of time saved adds the least extra cost. Shortening non-critical activities does not reduce project duration and only adds cost.

One question tells you little. A timed set on Project Management, Monitoring and Control shows your real accuracy, how long you take and where you lose marks.
