Six auditors Kiran, Lata, Manoj, Nisha, Om and Pooja sit in a row facing north. Manoj sits third from the left end. Lata sits immediately to the left of Manoj. Om sits immediately to the right of Manoj. Pooja sits at the right end. Kiran sits at one of the extreme ends. How many persons sit between Kiran and Nisha?

Three persons sit between Kiran and Nisha. Kiran must be at the left end, seat 1, because seat 5 is not an extreme, so Nisha is at seat 5. Lata, Manoj and Om occupy the seats between them.

  1. A2
  2. B3Correct
  3. C4
  4. D1

Explanation

Positions from the left: Manoj is 3, Lata is 2, Om is 4 and Pooja is 6. Kiran and Nisha take seats 1 and 5. Seat 5 is not an extreme end, so Kiran is at 1 and Nisha is at 5. The persons between them are those at seats 2, 3 and 4, which makes 3 persons.
