Under the Right to Information Act, 2005, what is the primary function of a Central or State Assistant Public Information Officer designated at the sub-divisional or other sub-district level?

An Assistant Public Information Officer, designated at sub-divisional or sub-district level, receives applications for information or appeals and forwards them forthwith to the Public Information Officer, the appellate senior officer or the Information Commission. The officer does not decide disclosure, hear appeals or impose penalties.

Explanation
