Checked against ICSI's official pages, as of 12 October 2026. Rules and fees change; confirm on the official site before you act.
One registration covers all attempts for 3 years, but the Student Induction Programme must be done before the first exam enrolment.
- Attempts: students may appear in the restructured CSEET as many times as they like within the 3-year validity of their registration.
- Completing the one-day Student Induction Programme (SIP) is mandatory before enrolling for the exam, and ICSI asks students to complete it within one month of registration.
- Requests to change the exam centre are accepted only in the change window, at least 30 days before the exam (Regulation 33). Changes within the same city or zone are not allowed.
- The CSEET result is valid for one year; a student who passes must register for the CS Executive Programme within that year.
- Students who passed the January 2026 remote-proctored CSEET can register for the CS Executive Programme within one year of their result without paying an exemption fee.
- Fees are not refunded under any circumstances, including ineligibility, except for double payment.

Is there negative marking in the CSEET?
No. ICSI states there is no negative marking in the OMR paper (Business Laws and Management). The other three papers are subjective.
Who does not need to take the CSEET?

As many times as you like while your CSEET registration is valid, which is 3 years from the month of registration. You pay the Rs 1,500 exam fee for each session.

One year from the date the result is declared. You must register for the CS Executive Programme within that year.
When is the next CSEET?
The February 2027 session runs from 1 to 4 February 2027. Registration for it closes on 31 October 2026.
