What stood out
- This open book paper had only four questions of 25 marks each, three of them built around long case scenarios, so reading speed and issue spotting mattered.
- The four labour codes dominated: the OSH Code and related welfare law alone accounted for well over a third of the marks, covering contract labour, migrant workers and hazardous processes.
- Gig and platform workers appeared twice (social security coverage and gratuity), reflecting the new categories created by the Code on Social Security.
- Constitutional and ILO angles were tested through a forced labour scenario, linking Articles 21 and 23 with international conventions.
- A full question was based on a reported POSH judgment, testing ICC powers, natural justice and employer compliance rather than bare provisions.
