Bharat Auto Components Pvt Ltd and its workers have a settlement in operation covering bonus payment. Workers who give a proper notice go on strike demanding changes to the bonus terms covered by that settlement. Under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, what is the position?

The strike is prohibited. The Code bars strikes during any period when a settlement or award is in operation in respect of matters covered by it. A valid notice does not override this bar, so a strike over the bonus terms settled would be in contravention.
